Research Activities
HCV research: My group is current investigating the behavioural and immunovirological determinants of HCV transmission. I am also involved in clinical research on HCV treatment, with a particular focus on IDUs.HIV/Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) research: My group studies the epidemiology of HIV and STIs in the community. We are undertaking a series of studies where we are assessing the effectiveness of new technologies in health promotion and disease prevention (eg. SMS, FaceBook, WAP)
Surveillance - HIV/HCV/STIs: My group is involved in establishing and evaluating new surveillance methods to improve our understanding of the epidemiology of blood borne viruses and STIs.
