Research Activities

I am working on a new class of anti-infective peptides that has the potential to boost host innate immunity against pathogens. These peptides block iNOS-SPSB interaction to prevent proteasomal degradation of iNOS and subsequently enhance the lifespan of iNOS in macrophages. I have several years of research experience in molecular microbiology especially on the molecular mechanism of drug resistance and transmission dynamics of tuberculosis.
